SUMMER READING IDEAS FOR GROWN-UPS TOO!!

Watch for our June e-mail which will have “NEW AND NOTABLE” books for summertime reading.  “Light, Moderate, and Heavy” categories for fiction and non-fiction will be available.  A must-have for everyone this summer is titled GARAGE SALE AMERICA!  smile

We will also have great books to keep kids reading and learning while on summer car trips.  A large variety of Colorado books continue to arrive….from Loop Hikes, to Dog Hikes to camping and hiking with kids….Colorado Sanctuaries and Colorado Scrambles.  We really have a great selection, and as always your ideas give our store that “personal” quality!

SUMMER TIME READING FOR KIDDOS!

Stop by for your packet of recommended readings for summer!  This list of fiction, non-fiction, and read-alouds ranges in ages from elementary through high school, and was compiled by Weld District Six librarians…many thanks, ladies, for taking the time in your very, very busy “end-of-the-year” schedule to do this for us.  A special thanks goes to Kifi Kanagy, librarian at Christa McAulilffe, who directed this project.

We want to recognize and reward our summer readers….so, stop by the store for more details.  We will post names, numbers of books read…(as they are read)…and reward in August for all participants, as well as the reader (in each grade level) who has read the most books from our list.

TAMERA ALEXANDER DEBUTS THIRD NOVEL!

Even thought Tamera and her family will soon be moving to Tennessee, Greeley will always claim her as our “local author”…with many awards to her name!  An Open Book LLC has Tamera’s first two books, REKINDLED AND REVEALED.  Her just released book REMEMBERED will be in the store on June 1st.  REMEMBERED is the third tale in this romantic, historical series of Fountain Creek Chronicles.

THE CHOCOLATE THERAPIST

In the May 27 edition of the Denver Post you can find an article about our favorite “chocolate” friend and author…Julie Pech.  The article is titled: The Chocolate Cure and Julie explains her research regarding the health benefits of dark chocolate and well as the joy of satisfying this wonderful craving!  An Open Book LLC always has Julie’s book as well as her boxed gift sets containing the Chocolate Therapist book and three bars of dark chocolate.  WAY TO GO JULIE!

I really do feel as if I am building an airplane and flying it at the same time!  As I continue to meet new friends and enjoy times with returning customers I appreciate knowing that my little “shop around the corner” has become a frequent stop for so many of you!  Thank you for your great feedback and support as we try new ideas and events.
